A message to my people

My brothers and sisters I come before you most humble and sincere. We are a nation of people spread across the world and war is upon us. Sisters know your place support your husband don't beat him down help lift him up. The woman is the care taker she is caring and meek. Men protect your household this is your duty. A man must provide for women and children. We as people need to come together and unite against war on our people we are in crisis.

We are at war against poverty
We are at war against violence
We are at war against drugs
We are at war against hatred
We are at war against ignorance

But most of all we are at war with ourselves.
We must focus on education in this day and time we are still looked upon as worthless.
We must support our own and build the black communities commerce.
We mustn't focus on what is not being done for us.
We must ask what are we doing for ourselves.

We need Lawyers not thugs.
Doctors not drug dealers.
We need to take back our community!
Yes change will come but we must not look to man for change. We have to come together and make change for ourselves... Change comes from within.
I can not
I will not
We shall not be moved.

In this thing we call life some of us don't understand whats the chance of me making my dream a reality and shaking your hand?

Last line

Ima keep pushing this pen until I take my last breath

Thou shall not judge

If you judge a book by its cover you'll always miss the storyline

Dancing In The Rain

standing here
outside in the rain
holding back
so many emotions
going through
so much pain
want to let you in
but what do
you know
got me going
in circles
don't want to
let my feelings show
if only you knew
we could give
our love a chance
acting out the role
in this scene
to our
secret
romance

Play your part

Life is like auditioning for a dramatic role
You have to act out each scene until you get the part

Keep it real

FREEDOM OF EXPRESSION IS A BEAUTIFUL THING! IT KEEPS ME HONEST

Success

The road to success is often walked alone but treasured by many...

Medium

You left me uninvited
your mind  transcribed
into words my heart delighted
a simple thought of your candor
took me to another vernacular
your voice sparked an
undying flame so spectacular
until we meet again
you will be missed
I'll say goodbye for now
with a simple kiss

Purity

I want to feel you
in your natural essence
I desire you now
I can since
your presence
the one
whom
I adore
you were
made for me
to admire
like lyrics
to a song
you wrote
every note
come perform
with me
take my
hand
I taste
your lips
you touch
my body
I twist
my hips
we both
partake in
ultimate
pleasure
as  I
stop to
catch my
breath
I can't
hardly speak
I lay before
you naked
with eyes
wide open
striped of
my pride
conscious
of my fears
everything
that I
hold dear
waiting for
you to
hold me
console me
reassure me
of our love
and all that
it is  make of
complexity
conformity
unity
a taste of
your desire
tantalizing
with fear
but it's
worth
the risk
because
I
hold
you
dear

BLACK AMERICA

Black America
what will it take
when will we learn
from our own mistakes
so much blood has shed
it is time to make a stand
we are living in a world
that has no fear
war is upon us
and judgement near
I'd rather be dirt poor
and be liberated
then be enslaved in shackles
beaten down by devils
who think we must keep our place
if your heart isn't convicted
by the illness of this universe
then enjoy the human race

The Struggle

I'm at war with myself
I think I'm falling apart
as I open up my eyes
and make my way
through the dark
emotions getting
the best of me
I'm going insane
smoke feeling up my lungs
from the flames In my veins
my cities on fire people
screaming and yelling
no one can hear a sound
walking around like zombies
can't you hear the sirens
I see a lot of dead bodies
blood every wear
some body call the law
can you hear me
I said I'm  going insane
It's a disaster
a generation wiped out
toes tagged a massacre

A Thought Provoked

frantic thoughts of ancestors hung
are fueling my emotions
horrific images in my minds eye
fill my heart with tears of passion
crying out to Jehovah
with questions I've been asking
Lord I feel so much pain
although I'm still young
I refuse to close my eyes to the truth
in this life I've been given
I must make a stand and teach the youth
as I pray to you now I need your guidance
show me your way I want to walk in your footprints
There are too many of us out here dying young
losing our lives prematurely
Victims of our own community
how do I tell my own you need a reason to live
When this world bring so much suffering and pain
while everyone else is singing and dancing in the rain
We are mother of all children but somehow it got reversed
my people walk threw life as though we've all been cursed
I refuse to believe that there isn't any hope
Yet I remain confused like a base head on dope
Father if you hear me please take my hand
as I extend mine to your children to freedom land
A thought provoked

Funny Valentine

your heart is made
of thorns nails and vines
the one whom I adore
my funny valentine
the artist formally
known was a prince
has been dethroned
and cast into a ditch
I haven't any thought
of how he shall return
farewell my love

Famous

I'm gonna follow
my dream forever
until I make it
I've always believed
in our love your so good
I never had to fake it
I won't see you tomorrow
so I'll give you this last kiss
with a promise to return
if ever I should be missed
I want our love to last forever
I hope we can storm this weather together

Burn

flames constantly burning
making me choke
surrounded by fire
why do you provoke
this felling of intimate
thoughts of disaster
that I've been yearning
laying in the bedroom
tossing and turning
gathering my thoughts
bottled up in a urn
setting this little bird free
there is absolutely nothing
you can do to take away
the pain yet still I remain
lying in the wake of my
hearts confusion  I simply
walk away slowly and let it burn

A Son

Last night I bore a son
He is a King an African descendant
I will teach him the way the walk of life
Care for him with pride he has a purpose in life
Apart of an African tribe his for fathers were once warriors
The Kingship was passed down generations before us
But do not worry he'll hold his head with pride
Because I bore a son a King a descendant of Africa
And I'll teach him about our pride

Broken Chains

I often meditate for divine intervention
A moment of peace walking in silence
I seek to find balance like the warrior Sun Tzu
I  see the art in war no justice no peace
My culture is depleted and our warriors are deceased
Political prisoners have been chastised for
 speaking out against broken chains
We are all prisoners of war playing the crying game
The blood that my people shed was not to shame you
They were beaten hung maimed and even rapped too
The younger generation has lost respect for society as a whole
Because we've forgotten our teaching what do they know
About "Wade In The Water" and let your tears flow
We became so ashamed we stopped fighting for the cause
Forgot about the struggle and everybody got lost
Now give yourselves a round of applause

ITunes

Like an orchestra
you play musical notes
inside of my head
you want my body
but I'd rather make love
to your mind instead
as our love evokes nature
to take our time you hold me
as we cuddle you're so sweet
I feel you in my heart but
I wonder what lies beneath

Royalty

Like cannibals we are killing
off one another like animals
We are in an eternal war within ourselves
Built from our own ignorance
racial imbalance and poverty
Brothers and sisters we are descendants
from royalty Kings and Queens far and wide
Why must we treat each other with
so much envy hatred and pride
Lets open up our minds today
We must take a stand and fight
against the genocide of our culture
The future of our generation is
dependent on us I declare peace
This war is over!

Rise

In the morning
I Rise

I Rise and see the sun
waking up to another
day the Lord has given

I Rise beyond my fear
to him I give my worries
I must hold strong
and tell my story

I Rise because I am a survivor
I can hold my head up high
it is what keeps me alive

I Rise above my faults
for I am only human
and at times I too get lost

I Rise to walk the halls
were my ancestors once
fought hard for us all

I Rise for the sake of humanity
for every woman man and child
to have faith in their community

I Rise in the absence of those
who can't speak on behalf
of themselves against
war and violence

I Rise to see the day there
will be no color lines and
all my people can shine

I Rise in the mist of hope
for many of us are losing
our lives to poverty
gang banging and dope

I Rise to bring world peace
will you stand will me

Are all of our freedom
riders diseased
