Wake Up

He was a neighborhood thug
up to no good
Mr. Shorty Doo-wop
always misunderstood
Hung with a few
But often walked alone
A true hard core beast
To his own he made his home
On a thrown he was put
and that's calling it lightly
When it's time to pull a stunt
Shorty would be there kindly
He walked the pavement
as most often do
Mapping out his life
plotting his moves
Having nothing or no
one to lean on
He created a game plan
Mr. Doo-wop developed
a corporate empire
Dedicated to his mother
Now he's the million dollar man
To his non supporters
he gave his thanks
for keeping him inspired
No love loss with out them
He wouldn't have
been able to retire
Next time you read a book
and look down on folks
like their hopeless
Don't push pass the cover
Read all twenty chapters
you stupid muthafuka
