You Are Not Alone

In this life 
I walk 
alone
Taking a
path that
is unpaved
My heart
sometimes
grow weary
As my
feet
began
to ache
I must
remain
on the
right path
If I choose
to be
Among
the Great
As time
begets me
I begin to
lose hope
Though I
refuse to
give in
My emotions
began to
unfold
I've never
felt this strongly
about anything
in life's past
As far as I
can remember
Making a push
to leap forward
From January
to December
Day falls and
night slowly creeps
I feel a nudge and hear
a whisper in my sleep
I have always
been with you
At times you
don't remember
How do you think
you've come to know
January and December
I slowly rise into a
somber state I weep
And simply say
Lord I thank you
for watching over me
