gas was cheap
you could roll
around on 20
in the tank for
about a week
back then $100
could fill up the fridge
man I can't wait til
this nightmare ends
the cost of living
surpasses minimum wage
gotta have 2 or 3 jobs
feeling like modern day slaves
if 1+1 still equals 2
who is really hurting
I'll do the math for you
we go to work to
pay for essentials
with out a penny
left for relaxation
there for there
isn't any funds left
for road trips or vacation
hospitality industry
is hurting the most
everybody downsizing
no more work overloads
folks that never thought
they'd see the day
went into foreclosure
and had to down grade
now there isn't any
money left to recycle
$0.00 in my bank account
got me fed-up
